Yes. Mark is registered with ServiceOntario and listed on the official Ontario directory of registered officiants. He can perform legally binding civil marriages anywhere in the province. Your signed marriage license is filed with the Office of the Registrar General after the ceremony.

Each partner needs to bring two pieces of original government-issued ID (e.g., passport, driver’s license, PR card, citizenship card). Photocopies are not accepted. You can apply at any city hall in Ontario — Brampton, Mississauga, Toronto, etc.
Right away. You pay the fees at City Hall and they print your marriage license and hand it to you on the spot. The license is valid for 90 days from the date of issue, so plan your ceremony within that window.
One piece of original government-issued ID per person, and the name on the ID must match the name on your marriage license. Photocopies aren’t accepted. Also bring two witnesses 18 or older — or let us know in advance and we can provide them for the studio package.
No. Witnesses just need to be 18 or older. They don’t need to be Canadian citizens, residents, or related to either of you.
Currently 14–16 weeks from the Office of the Registrar General. After the ceremony, we mail your signed marriage license to the province, and they issue the official certificate by mail. Note: this is separate from the keepsake we give you at the studio on the day.
Yes. Expedited processing takes 4–6 weeks instead of 14–16. There’s an additional fee paid directly to the province. Strongly recommended if you’re on a sponsorship timeline, planning travel, or need it for a name change.
A keepsake document that matches the original marriage license — beautiful, signed, and yours to keep that day. The original license is mailed by us to the Office of the Registrar General, who then issues your official marriage certificate by mail.
This is something we do every week. South Asian, Caribbean, Middle Eastern, African — many of our couples do a quiet legal signing at our Brampton studio first, then host the religious or cultural celebration on the big day. Our Simple Fairytale Legal Signing package is built exactly for this.
Same week is often possible. As long as you have your Ontario marriage license, we can usually book a studio signing within a few days. For sponsorship applications, we strongly recommend paying for the expedited certificate (4–6 weeks instead of 14–16) so you have it in hand for IRCC. Tell us your deadline in your inquiry and we’ll move fast.
